Tyler’s Drums (Produced Song #2)

Capstone Projects

Tri-C's Capstone class projects including 2 Produced Songs, a Youtube Tutorial, A Remix, a Mixdown, and a Live Band Recording

Drums recorded at Tri-C Studios Yamaha room.

Using an AKG D112 on the Kick Drum
An SM57 on the snare
Two AT4041’s as Overheads, and
An SM81 just for the Hi Hat

I recorded my friend Tyler O’Donnell freestyle on the drums for about 10 minutes, found a particular 16 bar loop I liked, and edited any particular parts that weren’t quantized on Logic pro.

For the bass, my friend Brant Stieber played a short bassline that I recorded using my Focusrite Scarllett interface as a DI Box.

For the little guitar licks, my same friend, Brant, sprinkled some light guitar over the bass, also using my Focusrite Scarllett interface as a DI Box.

In total, I got this fun little loop that can be used for commercials, background noise, or soundtracks.
